Urban: Very satisfied with Fensterbau 2022
Great interest at the technology provider stand
Nürnberg/Memmingen (jm). Urban GmbH & Co. Maschinenbau KG is very satisfied with the Summer 2022 edition of the Fensterbau/Frontale in Nürnberg.
"It was definitely the right decision to nail our colours to the mast and present ourselves in Nürnberg as one of the worldwide leading providers of machine technology for the PVC window industry. The Summer edition was of course not comparable with earlier trade fairs, because many exhibitors, and primarily the professional manufacturers, were missing. However, for us the trade fair was really worthwhile", declared Martin Urban, Managing Partner of Urban GmbH & Co. Maschinenbau KG.
Visitor magnet in Hall 4
Urban was one of the magnets in Machine Hall 4, and among other things presented its innovative welding technology with integrated milling machining there. With the so-called CUT variant of its AKS 9610 welding machine, Urban has installed special milling cutters on the welding heads, that already remove material before the welding process, so that no further welding bead can develop in the joining process. That enables the manufacture of windows and doors with no visible groove.
Wow effect among the visitors
"The WoW effect was of course great, because we not only presented the welding process, but also the windows without groove. The run on this new technology is unbroken", stated Urban.
The Urban sales team is especially satisfied with the high contact quality of the visitors to the trade fair. Martin Urban: "There were altogether fewer visitors to the fair, however the discussions were very intensive. Our team had more time for consultation, which was greatly appreciated by the customer and interested parties."
At every corner of the stand Urban was also present with digital solutions. Many visitors used the opportunity on the stand to dive virtually into different production solutions. "Regardless of whether welding, plastering or the sophisticated logistics with automatic stacking and intelligent sorting: We were able to take our customers along through every step of the window production and explain the procedures in detail. That raised the consultation quality at the trade fair to a whole new level", stated Michael Walther from technical marketing and project manager for digital projects at Urban.
According to Martin Urban, overall the customer feedback was very positive: "One noticed with many, how much they had been looking forward to the first trade fair in four years. We are happy to take this positive sentiment away with us."
